SkoroWorld News And Updates

06/14/02: Updated Friends Page to include some new people, as well as some reorganization. Modified main page to get rid of some old stuff that didn't belong anymore. Actually put some content on the Hosting Info Page to give an idea of what can be done, and put out some "references"... Lots of updates to the Funny Section, specifically the Flash Page and the Pictures Page but I there's also a new Movie as well. Expect more within the next week or so, I'll get around to finally getting some info on the Projects Page...

11/30/01: Mostly minor updates, still working on putting together some content for the Pythobot page in the Projects section, and getting something together for the Cadillac section. I think I will be adding a spot for my car(s) in general and maybe move the Caddy there instead of being off in the projects section. This way I can have some pics and info about my old car, my new car and my project car all in the same place. Re-arranged the main page so I could move the blurb about 9/11 elsewhere. I kinda got tired of seeing it. Now I just need to find something else to fill up my main page. Oh, and check out my journal!

10/16/01: Finished up all the outstanding Friends' stuff today. Josh now has pictures and information. Trying to get scanned some other pictures I recently acquired of Marissa. I started working on the new My Projects page which will give a whole bunch of information about hobbies and things that are going on in my life. I recently brought on Chris aka Wyldfire as my first hosting client. Hopefully we'll get some content up there soon. One of the more interesting things that has happened recently in SkoroWorld land is my decision to port Kevin Lenzo's Infobot to Python. Doing this for a number of reasons, the main one being that Perl can be about as easy to read as modem line noise sometimes, especially if poorly written. Aside from that, there hasn't been much development in infobot land recently, and there are several things I would like to do with it, but learning Perl is not really an option. So, I figure I'll port it to a language I'm well versed in, and knock out some of the new features I've been wanting to see, as well as stomping out several bugs in the process. Wish me luck, and please drop me a line if you would like to help out in any way, or just have suggestions and/or comments.

09/20/01: Finally wrote up Chris's and Lora's page in the "Friends" section, and added the Red Cross donation link on the Main page. Collecting more imagery and material for the "Funny" section, once I get a large enough collection I will post it up. I'm also collecting imagery relating to the tragedy going on, I think it's something worth collecting and posting, both to remind the world that we are going through this, and to remind the world that we won't put up with this. If you would like to contribute, e-mail at the link posted below and let me know what you have to offer. I'm still up in the air as to whether or not I want to do it. On another note, I am *still* waiting for the local ISP guy to get back to me with the new IP block so I can get my domain moved over here and get off this temporary box. Bear with me. :)

09/19/01: I've added a new feature to the Personal Info page, whereby you can now type a message into the box provided, and click "Send Message", and through the whiz-bang power of the Internet, what you type in the box will magically appear on my pager!! Ain't that neat, mah? Don't abuse it though, or I'll be forced to remove it. :)
