Widgets are small, often useful programs that run on your desktop.
These widgets run in Apple's Dashboard, which was added to Mac OS X in version 10.4.
Widgets useful for people playing City of Heroes, my favourite MMO.
Displays the current server status for all of the City servers in North
America.
This widget was created from scratch in Dashcode and based on the code in my Yahoo! Widget Engine widgets.
Special thanks to Liz Chesterman (@Liz; Imaginator Central) for the icons and the image in the prefs.
Version 1.0
These widgets all require the Yahoo! Widget Engine (formerly known as Konfabulator). It's free, useful, and very nifty, so check it out.
Widgets that players of City of Heroes and City of Villains might find useful. I love this game, it's the only MMO that has kept my interest! If you want to give it a try, contact me and I'll set you up with a trial code.
Displays a City
Info Tracker icon. You can switch between all of your registered
characters (or right-click and choose one from the menu).
Special thanks to Terry Saunders (@Voltaic Shock) for his work on the original City Information Terminal web server, the Titan Network crew for getting the new City Info Tracker up and running, and the mighty Liz Chesterman (@Liz; Imaginator Central) for her most excellent icons (and the image in the About box).
Version 5
Displays the current server status for all of the City servers in North
America and Europe. Use the widget preferences to turn off the display for
the servers you're not interested in and it'll resize itself appropriately.
The horizontal display doesn't have the option of showing the server names
(if you've got a suggestion for how to display the server names nicely in
horizontal mode,
let me know).
This widget was created due to a suggestion from someone in the City of Heroes community on LiveJournal.
Special thanks to Liz Chesterman (@Liz; Imaginator Central) for the image in the About box.
Version 4
Version 3
Displays the current server status for your favourite City server (pick it
in the preferences). You can pick any of several icons (hero, villain,
origins, archetypes) to represent the "Up", "Down" and "Unknown" server
states.
Special thanks to Liz Chesterman (@Liz; Imaginator Central) for the awesome icons and spiffy image in the About box.
